A drone can produce about 120 images with one battery for one panorama. If you want to produce more pictures, you have to land, change the battery and fly back to the exact place where you took the first pictures before. I developed the iOS APP SplitPan for this purpose.220 pictures with 2 batteries
My personal record is 220 pictures. I developed the iOS APP SplitPan for this purpose. The finished image has a size of 78'000 x 39'000 pixels. This is a DJI drone record. Enclosed 2 current pictures with the Inspire 1 and the 45mm lensWhat must be considered
The grid is calculated spherically so that no unnecessary images are created. The overlapping of the images is always identical. This method is also used in the xml-creator.
Photographing the sky
The sky cannot be photographed with a normal drone. I use a Panasonic G7 because the CCD chip has the same charac- teristics as a Zenmuse X5 camera.
